Christmas is just around the corner and our last class for 2011 is next Tuesday Dec 6. Here are a couple of student works in progress.

 Louise Mather's completed Swan and Signets is stunning!

 Joanne Davey has just completed this beautiful labrador.

Marie Willett is working on a portrait of her grandaughter. Early stages yet as undercolour is applied.

Here are artworks some of the Tuesday Jindalee class are currently working on. The Kookaburra is finished but Joanne and Louise still have to add more before their masterpieces are complete. The swan is mainly just undercolour at the moment and when finished will be much more solid and three dimensional. The wiemarana is at the stage where joanne is adding a layer over darker undercolours. The photos do not do their art justice. (My questionable photography skills!)

Pastel Art Classes will begin soon at the Girl Guide hall in Ascot on Thursday mornings.

Students are moving on to new artworks now with Marie working on a Kookaburra, Louise on a Swan and signets, Bev on a Sumatran Tiger and Joanne on a Wiemarana Dog. Watch this space for the finish of these pieces. Our class is growing and a new student began classes today so there will soon be new art to add here as well.

Our Tuesday morning pastel class has been going now for about eight weeks. We are a small group and expect to grow to around eight or ten students. The photos above show the wonderful artworks the students are already producing with this wonderful medium 'Pastel'.

Pastel Art Classes at Jindalee

Pastel Art Classes with artist Sally McLean began at the Jindalee Girl Guide Hall on the 24th of May 2011. After six weeks of lessons we have covered many topics as well as learning the techniques required to use the pastel medium.

Pastel Art Classes are held every Tuesday morning from 9:30am to 12 noon. Acrylic and Oil painting classes are being offered weekly on Friday mornings from 9:30am to 12 noon.
Classes are $30 and include class notes and tea/coffe and biscuits. Materials are not included. A materials list can be supplied on enrolement.
